Job summary

Ondo Finance is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel, Commercial to join its legal team. You will structure, negotiate, and execute strategic commercial agreements, partnering with business development, partnerships, marketing, and operations to enable rapid growth while protecting Ondo’s interests.

The role requires leading negotiations independently, advising on regulatory risk, and developing scalable contract processes for a fast-moving fintech environment.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
• 5–8+ years of legal experience at a major law firm or high-growth blockchain/fintech company.
• Significant experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracting principles and regulatory topics.
• Ability to lead negotiations with senior stakeholders and sophisticated counterparties.
• Knowledge of securities, AML, data protection, and related financial-services regulations.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
• Experience with tokenized assets or institutional financial products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal partner to business teams across BD, partnerships, marketing, and operations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements including partnerships, licensing, vendor, and data contracts.
• Lead complex commercial negotiations from structuring through execution and renewal.
• Advise on contractual, regulatory, reputational, and counterparty risk.
• Develop scalable contract templates, playbooks, and workflows.
• Provide training to business teams on contracting and risk management.
• Manage outside counsel as appropriate.
• Support strategic transactions with the AGC Commercial and senior leadership.
