Job summary

North Branch Construction in New Hampshire is seeking a highly motivated Senior Commercial Construction Superintendent to partner with the Project Manager to keep complex projects on schedule, on budget, and compliant with quality standards.

The role requires extensive supervisory experience on institutional, public, and private school/university projects, with a focus on safety, coordination with owners, inspectors and subcontractors, and leadership of field teams.

Qualifications

• Min. 10 years supervisory experience on complex/high-end institutional, public, and private schools/universities projects $15-70 million.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience in Commercial Construction Supervision.
• Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.
• Manage administrative duties in a timely manner and be able to work independently.
• Ability to work under pressure in a multi-tasking environment and manage a support staff.
• Proficient in Blue Beam, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, and CMiC a plus.
• Comfortable with computers, mobile devices and printers/copiers.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; maintain relationships with employees, subcontractors, clients, owners, and project managers.
• Willingness to travel, normally up to 1 hour in company vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction efforts to safeguard the project according to design, budget and schedule constraints.
• Provide required paperwork: daily reports, time sheets, field directives, quality control data and documentation.
• Plan, direct and supervise workers in construction activities; oversee in-house field staff.
• Ensure all personnel follow OSHA and company safety policies.
• Conduct weekly toolbox talks.
• Understand project details and resource needs in advance.
• Interpret and implement contract details and project procedures for crews.
• Identify productivity improvements and implement changes for safety and quality.
• Coordinate with owners, occupants, inspectors, authorities and contractors.
• Investigate incidents and document findings.
• Represent North Branch Construction positively to clients and the community.
• Perform other duties as required.
