Job summary

Wright-Ryan Construction, Inc. in Maine seeks a Superintendent to lead all on-site commercial construction activities from groundbreaking to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

You will coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors, and collaborate with the Project Manager to keep projects on track while maintaining strong relationships with owners, architects, and trades.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in construction or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years of commercial construction field supervision with $3M–$25M projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction from ground-breaking to completion.
• Proven ability to lead field teams and manage subcontractors to meet goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specs.
• Knowledge of codes, OSHA, and safety standards; proficient in Procore, Sage Timberline, MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality.
• Coordinate subcontractors, labor, materials, and equipment.
• Develop short-term schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Monitor daily activities and resolve schedule, safety, or quality issues.
• Enforce safety standards and company policies.
• Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders.
• Lead jobsite meetings with subcontractors and safety reviews.
• Ensure work complies with plans, specs, and contracts.
• Maintain daily reports and field updates; assist with closeout and punch lists.
