Job summary

AOI Corporation's Construction Division is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our team in Omaha. You will oversee day-to-day execution of ground-up construction, interior office remodels, and tenant improvements, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to our quality standards.

As a field leader, you’ll manage on-site personnel, coordinate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors, enforce safety, and mentor apprentices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading a commercial construction project in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of IBC and local code requirements.
• Ability to read, scale, and interpret blueprints, plans, and regulatory documents.
• Interior commercial carpentry experience preferred.
• Reading and interpreting contracts and regulatory documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site: direct daily on-site personnel and subcontractors, conduct weekly safety meetings and inspections.
• Plan for success: review plans, plan procedures, develop two-week rolling schedules, coordinate staffing and subcontractor activities.
• Deliver with precision: inspect work for conformance, prepare daily progress reports, and manage field documentation.
• Build lasting relationships: communicate with project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
• Own the project: procure tools/materials, oversee closeout, mentor apprentices and lead carpenters, enforce quality and safety standards.
• Safety & Compliance: adhere to safety protocols and OSHA compliance, maintain a positive safety culture.
