Job summary

Graham Construction, a 3G Company, seeks an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects from concept to completion on schedule and within budget. This field-based role emphasizes building strong relationships with owners, architects, trade partners, and internal teams in Cedar Rapids, IA.

You will enforce Graham safety standards, manage subcontractors, and monitor budget using Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project while mentoring field staff and traveling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in management or related field with 10 years of commercial construction experience or equivalent field experience
• Experience leading commercial construction projects, including healthcare
• Ability to read construction drawings and apply plans accurately
• OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain while employed

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with trade partners, field and office staff to complete projects on schedule
• Manages work of trade partners per contract
• Ensures local, state, and national building codes are followed
• Enforces Graham safety requirements and quality standards
• Builds relationships with owners, architects, trade partners, and industry reps
• Controls budget, labor, and cost codes with project managers
• Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Mentors carpenters, laborers, field engineers, and interns
• Uses Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects, Outlook, and Excel for planning and tracking
• Plans and manages schedule with a six-week look-ahead
• Supports preconstruction activities and decisions in project development
