Job summary

GA Johnson Construction, Inc. is hiring a Commercial Construction Project Manager / Estimator in Harrisburg, SD. The role requires managing projects from planning through completion and preparing detailed estimates and bid proposals.

You will coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and field staff; ensure budgets, schedules, and quality standards; and support Design-Build and CM projects across various industries. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial construction PM/Estimator experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and building systems.
• Experience preparing estimates, budgets, and project schedules.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency with construction estimating and project management software is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from planning through final completion.
• Prepare accurate project estimates, budgets, and bid proposals.
• Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and project schedules.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, quality, and timelines.
• Work closely with owners, architects, engineers, and field personnel.
• Resolve project challenges while maintaining client satisfaction.
• Ensure projects meet all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
