Job summary

Lithko Contracting, LLC is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our Estimating team. You will support the Estimating team and Pre-Construction Lead in all aspects of estimating for commercial and industrial projects, including quantity take-offs, pricing, and bidding.

This role is pivotal for accurate, competitive bids and successful project acquisition and execution, requiring a strong background in structural concrete estimating and bid processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in structural concrete estimating for large-scale self-perform GC or concrete contractors.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with negotiated and hard bid processes.

Responsibilities

• Establish estimates with alternates, general conditions, vendor/subcontractor pricing, labor, and wage rates per bid strategy.
• Develop conceptual estimates from limited information including pricing.
• Perform detailed take-offs of concrete scope items.
• Prepare comprehensive customer proposals with precise scope and bid pricing.
• Deliver accurate project information to the team during turnover and planning phases.
• Guide estimators and coordinators in task assignments, process usage, and tool validation of estimates.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure detailed information for execution.

The Role

Lithko Contracting, LLC is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our Estimating team. In this role, you will support the Estimating team and Pre-Construction Lead in all aspects of estimating, including quantity take-offs, pricing, and bidding for commercial and industrial projects. This position is critical for ensuring accurate and competitive bids, contributing to the successful acquisition and execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimate Setup: Establish estimates with appropriate alternates, general conditions, vendor and subcontractor pricing, labor production, and wage rates in alignment with the bid strategy.
• Conceptual Estimating: Develop conceptual estimates from limited information, ensuring the inclusion of accurate alternates, general conditions, and pricing.
• Detailed Take-Offs: Perform detailed take-offs by identifying and quantifying all concrete scope items.
• Proposal Preparation: Create comprehensive customer proposals that include precise scope, terms, conditions, and a detailed breakdown of bid pricing.
• Project Information Management: Deliver accurate project information to the team during turnover and planning phases to ensure seamless project execution.
• Team Support: Guide estimators and project coordinators in task assignments, proper use of processes, and tools, validating the accuracy and completeness of estimates produced by the team.
• Operations Coordination: Ensure that the operations team receives correct and detailed information necessary for effective project execution.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural concrete estimating for large-scale self-perform General Contractors or concrete contractors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with a variety of project types, with a particular focus on commercial and industrial projects valued over $1 million.
• Solid understanding of construction principles, as well as experience with both negotiated and hard bid processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering required.
