Job summary

Lithko Contracting is seeking an Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will assist with all aspects of estimating, including quantity take-off, pricing, and bid preparation for commercial and industrial construction projects.

Candidates should have experience with concrete estimating, strong skills in Microsoft Office and take-off software, and a track record of working on projects over $1 million. This on-site role offers opportunities for growth across a nationwide contractor.

Qualifications

• Experience with structural concrete estimating.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Experience in estimating for a Self-Perform General Contractor or Concrete Contractor is a plus.
• Experience with Commercial/Industrial projects preferred.
• Knowledge of budgeting, negotiated bids, and hard bids.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up an estimate to include correct alternates, general conditions, inputting correct vendor and subcontractor pricing, correct labor production and wage rates in alignment with bid strategy.
• Conducts a take off by owning all items from take-off software through identifying and quantifying all necessary concrete scope items.
• Responsible for providing correct project information to the appropriate parties during the turnover and planning phases.
• Validates that accurate and detailed information was provided to the operations team to plan for execution.

The Role

Lithko Contracting is seeking an Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will assist the Estimating staff and Pre-Construction Lead with all aspects of estimating, including quantity take-off, pricing and bidding of commercial and industrial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Sets up an estimate to include correct alternates, general conditions, inputting correct vendor and subcontractor pricing, correct labor production and wage rates in alignment with bid strategy.
• Conducts a take off by owning all items from take-off software through identifying and quantifying all necessary concrete scope items.
• Responsible for providing correct project information to the appropriate parties during the turnover and planning phases.
• Validates that accurate and detailed information was provided to the operations team to plan for execution.

Requirements And Qualifications

• Experience with structural concrete estimating preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Must have good organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Experience in estimating for a Self-Perform General Contractor or Concrete Contractor is a plus.
• Experience with a variety of project types with emphasis on Commercial/Industrial preferred.
• General knowledge of construction principles/practices required with experience on projects over 1 million dollars.
• Knowledge of budgeting, negotiated bids, and hard bids.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
