Job summary

EMCOR Services Mesa Energy is seeking an experienced HVAC technician to maintain, repair and optimize central plant equipment including large chillers and cooling towers in Mesa, AZ. You will perform testing, start-ups, commissioning and preventative maintenance while coordinating with the Chiller Field Supervisor on customer opportunities.

The ideal candidate has journeyman level HVAC experience, EPA certification, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5 years of journeyman level HVAC/central plant experience.
• Commercial/industrial air conditioning experience required.
• EPA certification and clean driver’s license.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• On-call availability

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair central plant equipment, including chillers 100 tons and larger, motors, pumps, valves, controls, cooling towers, vane axial fans.
• Overhaul of centrifugal chillers a plus.
• Support the office with recommended repairs from delivery to completion.
• Availability for emergency service calls on-call through normal rotation.
• End-to-end testing, programming, start-ups, and commissioning.
• Schedule and manage site-wide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties for chillers, cooling towers, and central plant equipment.
