Job summary

EMCOR Services Mesa Energy is seeking a seasoned HVAC technician to maintain and repair central plant equipment, chillers 100 tons and larger, and related systems in Mesa, Arizona. You will perform testing, start-ups, and commissioning, schedule maintenance, troubleshoot, and provide on-call emergency service as part of a rotating duty.

Qualified candidates have at least five years as a journeyman, EPA certification, and a strong background in commercial/industrial air conditioning,

Qualifications

• Five years of work experience at the journeyman level.
• Commercial/industrial air conditioning experience required.
• Knowledge of chillers, HVAC, and central plants.
• HVAC large-tonnage field knowledge required.
• Must be available for emergency on-call rotations.
• EPA certified.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair central plant equipment, including chillers 100 tons and larger, motors, pumps, valves, controls, cooling towers, and fans.
• Overhaul of centrifugal chillers is a plus.
• Rigging knowledge and related tasks.
• Support the office with recommended repairs from delivery to completion.
• Availability for emergency service calls on-call through rotation.
• End-to-end testing, programming, start-ups, and commissioning.
• Schedule and manage site-wide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties for chillers and central plant equipment.
• Perform daily and monthly preventative maintenance on all related equipment.
• Ensure completion within schedule and timeframes.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of on-site equipment.
• Attend monthly safety meetings and ensure safety policy compliance.
