Job summary

One80 Intermediaries is seeking a Commercial Auto Underwriter to join our Transportation team. The role reports to the VP of Transportation and entails risk selection and pricing on endorsements, renewals, and new business within established guidelines and authority.

Responsibilities include underwriting multi-line biz including general liability, auto liability, physical damage, and cargo; provide timely policy issuance; communicate guidelines to brokers; and manage broker relationships while

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Transportation Underwriter in a multi-state, multi-line commercial insurance environment.
• Remote work from home 100% if not local to Greater Cleveland area and/or unable to commute daily.
• Strong P&C underwriting knowledge with focus on Commercial Auto; familiarity with ISO class codes and CLM rules.

Responsibilities

• Assess and price endorsements, renewals, and new business per underwriting guidelines and authority.
• Underwrite lines of business including general liability, auto liability, physical damage, cargo, and more.
• Provide timely policy issuance and documentation; delegate tasks when needed.
• Communicate standards and requirements to brokers and agents.
• Review inspection reports to assess risk quality and confirm exposure base.
• Manage relationships with assigned brokers and agents.
