Qualifications

• BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area with 5 years of post-bachelor experience in statistical and actuarial analysis on commercial insurance.
• Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area.
• 3 years of experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance.
• 3+ years of commercial insurance experience.
• ACAS (Associate in Casualty Actuarial Society).
• Ability to coach, mentor, evaluate and provide training and feedback to professional staff.
• 3+ years of experience managing teams in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience performing account-level rating and pricing analyses for complex or high-value commercial insurance opportunities.
• Experience serving as a client-facing partner presenting analyses, recommendations, and pricing strategies to stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of the Commercial Auto industry and the commercial insurance marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Actuarial Analysts and Consultants, providing coaching and direction across pricing and analytical projects.
• Oversee actuarial analyses and support business decision-making, ensuring timely, high-quality project delivery.
• Drive HR-related activities including recruiting, interviews, performance appraisals, salary actions, and disciplinary procedures with management.

We are actively hiring for a Senior Commercial Actuarial Pricing Manager (Auto)!

Role Summary

As a Senior Commercial Actuarial Pricing Manager (Auto), you will lead and develop Actuarial Analysts and Consultants, providing coaching, training, and direction across a variety of pricing and analytical projects. You will oversee actuarial analyses, support business decision-making, and ensure projects are completed on time and with high quality.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for human resources functions to include recruiting and interviewing prospective employees, conducting performance appraisals, recommending salary actions including promotions and terminations, and administering disciplinary procedures in conjunction with management, recognizing employee’s achievements and counsels employees on performance issues, promotes growth and development of staff thorough coaching and mentoring, provides feedback and guidance to staff relative to productivity.
• Review work of Consultants and Analysts and oversees the successful completion of projects within the required time frame.
• Manage and train Actuarial Consultants and/or Analysts within the department.
• Manage Teams time and workload and recommends tradeoffs to leadership
• Demonstrate the ability to balance the achievement of business results with constrained human capital
