Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of eight years of related experience with modern communication system engineering, DSP, or AI/ML.
  • Experience developing within a Linux environment.
  • Strong coding experience in Python, C++, or Matlab.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

The Communication Software Implementation Department (CSID) develops novel algorithms and prototypes using software defined radios to enable the space enterprise. We are subject matter experts who provide technical advice to our customers on satellite communication systems and use state-of-the‑art algorithms to build our customer’s future capabilities. The selected candidate will be required to work full time on‑site at our facility at either El Segundo, CA.

What You’ll Be Doing

Build a wide variety of prototypes for:

  • Classic signal processing
  • Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) signal processing
  • Develop, model, and test algorithms for both real and simulated data
  • Deliver tech demos and briefings to internal stakeholders and to external customers
  • Provide technical guidance and insight to external customers
  • Develop the department’s business network with the customer program office
What You Need to be Successful – Engineering Specialist
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline
  • Minimum of eight years of related experience with a combination of modern communication system engineering, digital signal processing, or AI/ML comm expertise
  • Experience with developing within a Linux environment
  • Strong coding experience in Python, C++, or Matlab
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. Government.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
Senior Engineering Specialist
  • Minimum of twelve years of experience
  • Proven technical leadership skills with project leadership from initial concept to project execution or business development experience with the US Government customer
  • Demonstrated mentorship of junior staff
How You Can Stand Out
  • Software defined radio development (GNU Radio) or experience with USRP or similar SDR platforms
  • Domain expertise in one or more of: Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Electromagnetic Warfare (EW)
  • Experience with best practices for DevOps and MLOps
  • Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills. (Min - Max) $129,000.00 - $249,600.00 Pay Basis: Annual
