Signal Processing and Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Department: Communications Software Implementation Department (CSID) within the Mission Payloads Division (MPD) of the Aerospace Corporation.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Mix of engineering projects related to signal processing, digital communications, and/or machine learning.
  • Participates with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners.
  • Applies standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks.
  • Document work products in briefings and/or technical reports to customers and colleagues.
  • Opportunities to propose and carry out internal R&D projects, engage in field work, and publish in conferences and journals.
  • Training and mentorship will be provided.

What You Need to be Successful

This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance. Transcripts Required.

How You Can Stand Out
  • Master's or PhD degree from an accredited college/university program in Electrical Engineering, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related technical discipline (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months) GPA 3.5 or higher
  • Active security clearance
  • Experience with Software Defined Radios and/or GNURadio
  • Experience with designing and training machine learning models applied to signal processing and/or communications applications

Location & Payment

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in El Segundo, CA. We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills. (Min - Max) $90,000.00 - $140,000.00 Pay Basis: Annual.
