Job summary

Nrg Bluewater Wind is seeking an IC&E/Combustion Turbine Technician to maintain and repair instruments, controls, and electrical systems at the plant. You will operate plant equipment, monitor performance, and support safe operations.

This role requires strong safety awareness and hands-on skills with DCS/PLC systems. You will work with internal teams and external partners, handle switching up to 230 kV, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while complying with environmental

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED with 3 years of power plant experience.
OR an Associates degree in Instrumentation with 2 years of related industrial/process experience.
Valid State Driver’s License.
Successful candidates must receive a rating of Recommended on the NRG pre-employment assessment test.

Responsibilities

Start up, operate, and shut down mechanical and electrical equipment to meet operational goals.
Maintain high safety standards and environmental compliance.
Conduct routine and preventive maintenance; troubleshoot equipment issues.
Assist in training, procedure development, and contractor oversight.
Proficiently use SAP for maintenance and inventory, and communicate with internal teams and external partners.
Perform switching of electrical equipment up to 230 kV.
Engage in shift activities and maintain plant records.
