Job summary

Le Groupe Simoneau is seeking a Senior Combustion Technician to perform field service, preventive maintenance, and commissioning on industrial steam and hot-water systems in Wisconsin. You will service boilers, burners, control systems, instrumentation, and energy-recovery equipment, with travel as needed.

Reporting to the Service & Project Manager, you will diagnose issues, run start-ups, tune for efficiency, document work, and uphold safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Journeyworker Steamfitter/Pipefitter status or ability to join local union.
• Journeyman-level steam competency preferred; journeyman oil burner competency required.
• High-pressure piping Journeyworker competency preferred.
• Power-limited electrical competency preferred.
• Experience in technical field-service environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair services.
• Install burners, control systems, and instrumentation with project teams.
• Conduct system start-up, commissioning, and operational testing.
• Test and verify critical system safety devices.
• Perform combustion-efficiency analyses and tune equipment for safe operation.
• Do general pipefitting work related to boiler/combustion systems.
• Service and troubleshoot high-pressure steam systems.
• Document completed work and communicate findings to customers and teams.
• Follow safety procedures and proper use of tools/equipment.
