Job summary

Babcock Power is seeking a Sr. Fuel Equipment / Auxiliary Engineer in Marlborough, MA to design combustion system equipment including burners, valves, heaters, and related subsystems in accordance with NFPA 85 and ASME B31.1.

You will prepare equipment specifications and oversee vendor design and documentation. The role requires a BS in Engineering, 8+ years in related fields, experience sizing valves and equipment, and knowledge of fuel systems for utility or industrial applications.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering; Mechanical or Chemical preferred.
• Eight or more years in related industry with project/design background.
• Experience sizing and specifying valves and equipment.
• Knowledge of combustion systems in utility or industrial applications; burners and fuel delivery.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analyses using standard methods and tools.
• Prepare equipment specifications and purchasing documents.
• Review vendor RFQ packages and provide technical oversight.
• Coordinate design and documentation with vendors to maintain quality and schedule.
