Skill in Beaverton, OR is seeking a contract Color Development specialist to lead the translation of color from concept to mass production for diverse materials. This temporary role focuses on precision, data integrity, and collaboration with global partners to ensure consistent color across multiple product lines.

You will work with spectrophotometers and color tools to validate color data, manage lab dips, and maintain color standards in fast-paced, deadline-driven programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in color development for materials, preferably consumer product materials.
• Proven ability to move color specs from concept to production.
• Excellent color perception and use of FM100 color acuity testing.
• Experience with lab dip approvals and color libraries.

Responsibilities

• Lead color development for textiles, synthetics, foams and leathers.
• Oversee end-to-end color execution from brief to production readiness.
• Establish and maintain accurate color standards and approvals.
• Drive color consistency across high-volume programs and palettes.
• Collaborate with global suppliers for color accuracy and repeatability.
• Manage lab dips, approvals, and color libraries; track activities across systems.
• Capture and analyze color data with spectrophotometers and light boxes.
