Job summary

InDev seeks a Senior Collibra Developer to design and maintain enterprise data governance solutions, data catalogs, and automated workflows using Collibra.

You will bridge business data stewards and engineering teams, implementing data lineage and metadata programs, while coordinating with cloud integrations and REST APIs. The role requires BPMN mastery and collaboration in Agile environments with DevOps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software development or data management experience.
• 3+ years of specialized, hands-on experience implementing and configuring Collibra.
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Groovy, Java, Python, or SQL.
• Deep expertise in BPMN workflow design and customization.
• Hands-on experience working with REST APIs and enterprise integration frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms (AWS, Snowflake, Azure, or Databricks) and ETL/metadata pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data governance concepts, data lineage, stewardship, and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).

• Metadata & Lineage Management: Implement automated end-to-end data lineage, glossaries, asset types, and classification models including handling PII.

• Best Practices: Drive adoption of data governance best practices, governance metrics, dashboards, and automated controls across teams.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between business data stewards and technical engineering teams, designing robust data lineage, data catalogs, and automated workflows that ensure data quality, compliance, and trust.

The ideal candidate will be adept at creating modern web interfaces, developing high-performance backend services, automating metadata and lineage processes, and ensuring secure, efficient data ingestion across diverse systems.

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Platform Implementation & Configuration: Design, develop, deploy, and administer Collibra Data Catalog, Data Lineage and Data Governance modules.
• Workflow Development: Design, develop, and customize complex Collibra workflows using Groovy, Java, and BPMN (Business Process Model Notation) engines (e.g., Camunda) to support governance lifecycles and business processes.
• Integration & APIs: Build and manage scalable integrations between Collibra and enterprise data ecosystems (e.g., AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Tableau, and major RDBMS/NoSQL databases) utilizing Collibra REST APIs, microservices using Java (e.g., Spring Boot, Quarkus, or similar frameworks) and Edge capabilities.
• Metadata & Lineage Management: Implement and support automated end-to-end data lineage, business glossaries, asset types, and classification models, including handling PII (Personally Identifiable Information) and sensitive data.
• Collaboration & Agile Development: Work in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) teams with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline).
• Best Practices: Drive the adoption of data governance best practices, governance metrics, dashboards, and automated controls across cross-functional teams.
