KIPP NYC College Prep High School seeks an experienced Senior College and Career Counselor to guide graduates toward best‑fit colleges and careers. You will work with seniors, families, colleges, and community partners to navigate applications, financial aid, and scholarship options.

You will coordinate events, manage tracking of progress, and collaborate with the KIPP Forward team to support transitions and prevent summer melt, ensuring high matriculation rates into college or career programs.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four‑year educational institution.
• Specialized training in college counseling work or higher education administration preferred.
• Experience with college admissions and financial aid counseling at the secondary school or collegiate level is desirable.
• Experience counseling New York high school students or work within SUNY or CUNY a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and deliver signature college counseling events (Senior Brunch, College & Career Fair, parent financial aid workshops, trips, and Commitments ceremonies).
• Provide direct college advisement to 60–70 students and families in the senior year, including completing applications and financial aid steps.
• Maintain weekly grades and daily attendance for assigned sections; collaborate with counselors and KIPP Forward team.
• Communicate with college admissions and scholarship representatives; arrange visits and info sessions.
