Job summary

First American is seeking a Sr. Collections Specialist to manage complex loss mitigation and collections activities.

You will act as the SPOC for borrowers, guiding delinquency resolution and retention or liquidation options, while ensuring compliance with investor, regulatory, and company requirements. The role involves outbound/inbound calls, detailed documentation, and handling sensitive customer situations with professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in collections or loss mitigation.
• Experience with mortgage servicing and investor guidelines.
• Knowledge of FDCPA and bankruptcy procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for loss mitigation and collections inquiries.
• Perform outbound and inbound collection calls to resolve delinquent accounts.
• Analyze borrower financials to determine retention or liquidation options.
• Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions and activity.
• Provide exceptional service by addressing complex account issues and disputes.
• Review accounts for compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
