Job summary

Eastern Research Group, Inc. (ERG) seeks a Senior Software Developer in Washington, DC, to design, develop, deploy, and maintain robust ColdFusion applications, collaborating with Business Solutions and IT teams.

The role requires full lifecycle expertise and strong skills in ColdFusion, database programming, and web technologies. The candidate will design and implement server-side objects, optimize SQL for Oracle, and develop front-end components using HTML/CSS/JavaScript and a modern JS

Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall software development experience with a BS/BA degree.
• 10+ years developing & supporting ColdFusion applications.
• 5 years' experience coding using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and a JavaScript framework (ReactJS or VueJS).
• 4-5 years' experience writing SQL queries and stored procedures that integrate with ColdFusion applications.
• Experience in designing and modifying Oracle server databases.
• 3+ years of modern development processes.
• Ability to pass a public trust-level background investigation for federal work.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance ColdFusion-based applications.
• Write and optimize SQL scripts, queries, stored procedures, and functions for Oracle databases.
• Design and implement server database objects including tables, views, indexes, and triggers.
• Conduct application testing and debugging to ensure quality and performance.
• Develop and maintain front-end components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern JS framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system implementation and resolve incidents following government lifecycle processes.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation; provide ongoing application support and enhancements.
