Job summary

Eastern Research Group, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Software Developer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain robust ColdFusion applications for federal clients.

You will work with Business Solutions and IT teams across the full software lifecycle, using HTML/CSS/JavaScript and a modern framework. The role requires deep ColdFusion experience, strong SQL/Oracle skills, and the ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment while collaborating across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of overall software development experience with a B.S. or B.A. degree.
• Minimum 10 years developing & supporting ColdFusion applications.
• At least 5 years of experience coding HTML, CSS, JavaScript and a modern JS framework (ReactJS or VueJS).
• 4–5 years writing SQL queries and stored procedures that integrate with ColdFusion.
• Experience designing and modifying Oracle server databases.
• 3 years with modern development processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance ColdFusion-based applications.
• Write and optimize SQL scripts, queries, and procedures for Oracle databases.
• Design server database objects (tables, views, indexes, triggers).
• Conduct testing and debugging to ensure quality and performance.
• Develop front-end components with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern JS framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system implementation and incidents.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and provide ongoing application support.
