Qualifications

• Over 5 years of physician coding experience including CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS.
• 3–5 years of Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding experience.
• 3–5 years of outpatient procedural coding experience.
• 1–2 years of multi-specialty coding experience.
• 1–2 years of surgical/invasive coding experience.
• Certification: CPC or equivalent (preferred); CCS-P or equivalent (as applicable)

Responsibilities

• Apply ICD-10 diagnosis codes and CPT-4 codes across applicable places of service, specialties, testing, procedures, and major surgeries.
• Perform evaluation and management (E/M) coding in accordance with established coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Review documentation to determine appropriate coding and ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory guidance.
• Serve as subject matter expert for coding-related questions and complex coding scenarios.
• Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines, regulations, and industry standards to support accurate and compliant physician billing.
