The City of Greenwood Village is hiring for Code Enforcement Officer and Senior Code Enforcement Officer roles. You will enforce zoning, grading, drainage and nuisance codes, conduct inspections, and support legal proceedings to maintain a safe and aesthetically pleasing community.

Senior level includes handling complex cases, field instruction to junior officers, and coordination with Public Works and external partners. In-office schedules apply.

Qualifications

• Understanding of zoning, subdivision, grading, drainage, nuisance codes and related regulations.
• Knowledge of legal procedures and construction practices.
• Ability to interpret plans, conduct inspections, analyze data and recommend solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to prepare clear reports, maintain detailed records and operate field equipment.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to build cooperative relationships and maintain professionalism.

Responsabilités

• Investigate zoning, subdivision, drainage, nuisance, and other code violations and follow through to resolution.
• Issue warnings, notices and summonses; assist legal staff and testify when needed.
• Maintain case files, logs and monthly reports.
• Inspect private developments for grading and erosion compliance.
• Coordinate with Police and City staff on inquiries.
• Prepare letters, emails, notices and related correspondence.
• Utilize City systems to document inspections and manage violations.

Formation

High school diploma or equivalent

CCIC/NCIC Certification

CCEO Certification

Stormwater Inspector Certification

CCEO certification (American Association of Code Enforcement) desirable
