Job summary

The City of Grand Prairie is seeking a Senior Code Compliance Officer to enforce city codes through field inspections, investigations, and documentation. You will identify violations, issue citations, and prepare detailed reports for owners, supervisors, and other stakeholders.

Required: High School Diploma or GED, four years of related experience, and a valid Texas Class C driver's license. The role includes administrative duties and potential staff guidance as assigned.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Patrol the city to identify code violations and enforce divisions.
• Review and respond to complaints and investigations.
• Schedule and conduct inspections and site visits.
• Note violations and issue citations as appropriate.
• Compile inspection reports and notify owners and supervisors.
• Complete administrative duties such as records maintenance and responding to inquiries.
• Assist with program implementations or staff training when assigned.
• Report information to City Council, boards, or other departments as needed.
