The Amatriot Group seeks a Senior Software Developer to join NY eMedNY systems development team in Albany. You will contribute to coding and supporting COBOL/CICS/DB2 applications on mainframe and open system interfaces, delivering high-quality software aligned with requirements and design.

The role emphasizes analytical mindset, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on SDLC standards, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS, Math, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years IT experience with COBOL, CICS and DB2.
• Experience with NYS MMIS or healthcare systems.
• Experience with Electronic Data Interchange, including HIPAA X12 5010 and NCPDP D.0.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, document, and support complex eMedNY applications.
• Code COBOL/CICS/DB2 components for the eMedNY program.
• Participate in SDLC activities including design reviews and estimates.
• Maintain standards and produce documentation artifacts.
