Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Coatings Inspector III, the senior authority on protective coatings across projects. You will review and write coating specifications and inspection plans, investigate coating failures, audit applicators and coating suppliers, and supervise Level 1 and 2 inspectors.

You will advise owners and engineers on coating system selection, service life, and maintenance planning, leading the coatings inspection practice and ensuring compliance with SSPC/NACE/AMPP

Qualifications

• Must have CIP Level 3 certification and extensive coating inspection experience.
• Experience supervising Level 1 and 2 inspectors across projects.
• Preferred PCS credential and broad coatings knowledge across industries.

Responsibilities

• Review and write coating specifications, inspection plans, and quality requirements.
• Investigate coating failures through field evaluation, sampling, and lab coordination.
• Audit applicators and coating suppliers; qualify inspection subcontractors.
