Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a senior-level coatings inspector to lead project coating programs, write specifications, and guide quality plans across industrial, water, marine, and infrastructure work. You will supervise Level 1 and 2 inspectors, evaluate failures, and coordinate with owners and engineers on system selection and maintenance planning.

Seeking CIP Level 3 certification with 8+ years of coatings inspection and strong field judgment; PCS is preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of coatings inspection with supervisory experience.
• AMPP (NACE) CIP Level 3 certification, current.
• Coating failure investigation experience; PCS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and write coating specifications, inspection and test plans, and quality requirements.
• Investigate coating failures: field evaluation, sampling, laboratory coordination, and written findings.
• Audit applicators and coating suppliers; qualify inspection subcontractors.
• Supervise Level 1 and 2 inspectors; calibrate acceptance standards.
• Advise owners and engineers on coating system selection, service life, and maintenance planning.
