Position Overview

As a Senior Coating Technician in St Louis, MO, you will be responsible for all daily field tasks, performing activities essential to day-to-day operations independently. You will also train and mentor technicians and laborers.

What You Will Be Doing

• Identify when and where to perform abrasive blasting, water blasting, injection grouting, coatings, holiday testing, and adhesion testing.
• Lead and coach others during STAC meetings.
• Communicate effectively with the Foreman & Superintendent.
• Lead a team of laborers & technicians when required.
• Assess conditions & issues and determine corrective actions.
• Maintain a positive attitude to motivate the team.
• Observe and report conditions & issues accurately to supervisors.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience training others in abrasive blasting, water blasting, injection grouting, coating application, and testing.
• Trained in Confined Space, Fall Protection, Silica, and Scaffolding as a Competent Person.
• Ability to operate & maintain pump systems and spray equipment.
• Ability to safely drive a pickup truck with a trailer.
• Evaluate defective or damaged equipment and take corrective actions.
• Participate in project planning meetings with the Superintendent.
• Minimum of 3 years in high-performance coating applications.
