Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC VTL Machinist for the 1st shift in Mentor, OH. The role focuses on CNC turning of turbine engine components to exact OEM specs within a modern, climate-controlled facility.

You will work with a skilled team to read prints, set up machines, and ensure dimensional accuracy using gauges and metrology tools. A strong background in GD&T, problem solving, and first-article inspection is required, with safety and quality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of CNC Turret Lathe (VTL) experience in a job shop.
• Experience in problem solving on setups, tooling and fixturing.
• Strong GD&T and critical dimensioning understanding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• First article inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and procedures and work instructions.
• Set up and operate CNC VTL to meet specified dimensions.
• Read drawings and interpret blueprints for part features.
• Inspect parts using gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
• Identify and correct machining problems with tools and fixturing.
• Document findings on work instructions and records.
