Job summary

CoorsTek is seeking a Sr CNC Specialist to develop, prove out, validate, and optimize complex CNC processes from concept to production-ready parts. The role requires CAM programming expertise, rapid prototyping support, and NPI machining strategy development across multiple shifts.

You will lead tooling optimization, process validation, advanced metrology, and continuous improvement while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with engineering, quality, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certification / apprenticeship preferred.
• 5+ years advanced CNC machining and programming experience.
• Experience with CAM software and multi-axis machining required.
• Strong GD&T and metrology capabilities; analytical problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, operate, and validate complex multi-axis CNC equipment for prototyping and production.
• Generate and optimize CAM toolpaths from models and drawings for prototypes, NPI, and production.
• Create and validate G-code and M-code programs.
• Develop machining strategies including tooling and sequencing.
• Lead FAI, dimensional evaluation, metrology, and process validation activities.
• Mentor machinists and CNC personnel on advanced practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams.
