Job summary

CoorsTek, Inc. seeks a Sr. CNC Specialist to lead advanced CNC machining and CAM programming from concept to production. The role focuses on qualifying processes, optimizing toolpaths, and supporting NPI with rapid prototype prove-out.

The candidate will mentor machinists, develop process documentation, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve cycle times and yields. Multiple shifts available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical machining certification or apprenticeship preferred.
• 5+ years of advanced CNC machining and programming experience.
• Experience with CAM software and multi-axis machining required.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, operate, and validate complex CNC equipment for rapid prototyping, NPI, and production improvements.
• Generate and optimize CAM toolpaths from models/drawings for prototyping, NPI, and production initiatives.
• Create, troubleshoot, and validate G-code and M-code programs.
• Develop machining strategies including tooling, work holding, and sequencing.
• Perform complete machine setups and first-run prove-out for new/updated processes.
• Lead troubleshooting and corrective actions for prototype, NPI, and process issues.
• Support NPI by developing machining methods and pre-production processes.
• Capture insights and translate into repeatable setups and production handoff documents.
