Job summary

Waséyabek Development Company, through Baker Engineering, LLC, seeks a Senior Quality Technician to develop and maintain QC plans for CNC-machined parts. You will lead FAI/PPAP activities, drive root cause analysis, and improve process capability while ensuring ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance.

You will train operators, collaborate with engineering and production, and support NPI by validating machining processes for manufacturability. This on-site role is based in Muskegon, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a CNC machining or precision manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with precision metrology tools, gauges, and measurement systems.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and controlled manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to work onsite in Muskegon, MI.
• United States citizenship required by contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality inspection plans for CNC-machined parts, including gauges and measurement systems.
• Perform and document First Article Inspections (FAIs) and PPAPs, and control plans.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for nonconformances.
• Monitor process capability using Cp, Cpk, SPC, and other methods.
• Ensure ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance and support audits.
• Train operators and technicians on quality requirements, inspection techniques, and process controls.
• Collaborate with programming, engineering, operations, and quality teams to improve throughput.
• Support New Product Introduction by validating machining processes and manufacturability.
