Job summary

Globus Medical is seeking a Staff Model Maker to advance prototypes from concept through testing and production. You will operate CNC and manual mills, lathes, and EDM machines to fabricate models and low-volume components for instruments and implants.

You will train new hires, participate in design reviews, and ensure machines are calibrated and maintained per quality standards. Candidates should have 10+ years in medical device machining and strong CAM software skills.

Qualifications

10+ years in machining, tool & die or model making, medical device exp. required.
Extensive experience with CNC and manual mills, lathes, EDM machines.
Experience with Mastercam or CAM software required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven creativity and ability to contribute to design improvements.

Responsibilities

Fabricate models, prototypes, test parts, and low-volume components using CNC and manual mills and EDMs.
Train and mentor new hires in machining processes and equipment operation.
Participate in design meetings, providing practical machining input.
Ensure calibration and maintenance of machines per quality system.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment for reliability.
Keep a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Assist with process and tooling development for manufacturing.
Adhere to Code of Conduct and regulatory requirements.
Maintain knowledge of regulatory compliance for the role.
