Job summary

Century Arms in New York is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / CNC Process Engineer with advanced Mastercam skills to develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for a high-mix, low-to-medium-volume operation.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, Production, Quality, and Setup Technicians to reduce setup and cycle times, improve processes, and ensure repeatable, efficient machining.

Qualifications

• Mastercam experience highly desirable for programming and optimization.
• Hands-on CNC machining knowledge to develop repeatable processes.
• Ability to interpret GD&T and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for 3-axis and multi-axis machines.
• Develop complete machining processes balancing setup time, cycle time, tooling costs, and efficiency.
• Collaborate on fixture and tooling design to maximize productivity and repeatability.
• Set up and prove out new CNC programs with machinists and technicians.
• Support production start-up, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements.
• Ensure parts meet GD&T requirements and assist with first article inspections.
• Create and maintain documentation, setup sheets, and process records.
• Share machining best practices and contribute to Lean initiatives.
