Job summary

Vitesse Systems in Longmont, CO is seeking a Machinist III to program and manufacture high‑precision antenna feeds. You will operate CNC machines, interpret blueprints, and ensure tight tolerances while maintaining safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of CNC programming experience with MasterCam, GD&T proficiency, strong math and communication skills, and a background in precision machining and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Related certificate in Precision Machining preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of machining experience.
• Minimum of 8 years programming CNC machines utilizing MasterCam.
• Minimum of 8 years utilizing GD&T.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong math skills.
• Working knowledge of safety guidelines and work rules.
• Proficiency with GD&T.
• Proficiency reading blueprints.
• Experience using Mastercam software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC machines according to internal policies and technical documentation using MasterCam.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine as required.
• Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly.
• Program and manufacture antenna feeds according to readings.
• Interpret and apply blueprints.
• Apply advanced geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Maintain quality and safety standards.
• Utilize hand and measurement tools to complete various manufacturing and quality assurance functions.
• Provide technical training to others in manufacturing
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Participate in technical troubleshooting and documentation as needed
• Provide technical training and guidance within the team
• Other duties as assigned
