Job summary

Accounting Search partners with a precision CNC machining manufacturer in Indianapolis, IN seeking experienced CNC Machinists/Programmers to support complex, high-tolerance work for aerospace, defense, space, and medical device industries. You will develop programs for 5-axis milling, multi-axis turning, and Swiss lathes, using CAM software and G-code to meet tight tolerances and GD&T requirements.

Qualifications

Proven experience programming 5-axis CNC mills, multi-axis turning centers, and/or Swiss lathes.
Strong proficiency with CAM software and G-code.
Ability to read complex engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

Develop CNC programs for 5-axis milling, multi-axis turning, and Swiss lathe operations.
Program precision components across aerospace, defense, space, and medical devices.
Optimize machining strategies for tight tolerances and complex geometries.
Use CAM software and G-code to create efficient, reliable programs.
Review drawings and GD&T requirements; select tooling, speeds, and feeds.
Troubleshoot programming and machining issues during setup, first article, and production.
Collaborate with machinists, engineering, and quality/metrology teams to validate processes.
Maintain process documentation and support continuous improvements.
