Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer in Gardena, CA to prepare and manage non-standard CNC programs across multi-axis machines. You will model components with CAD/CAM software and translate design criteria into executable machine instructions, coordinating with engineers and operators.

Responsibilities include developing and revising CNC routines, selecting tooling, validating programs, and supporting training of operators.

Qualifications

One year certificate from college or technical school, or eight years of related experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Knowledge of manufacturing software.

Responsibilities

Performs CNC programming for most production equipment within the company’s production facilities.
Transfers product design criteria into machine requirements.
Develops complete or revised non-standard program routines for efficient CNC machining operations including three axes simultaneously.
Plans tooling sequences and cycles to optimize machining conditions.
Leads tooling design reviews to simplify methods and reduce time and cost.
