Job summary

Belcan Corporation is seeking a Sr. CNC Programmer in Sylmar, CA to lead multi-axis programming for precision plastics and aerospace tooling. You will optimize machining strategies, tooling, fixturing, and machine selection to deliver high-quality parts on time.

Requirements include 7+ years in CNC programming for aerospace/high-precision industries, proficiency with 3–5 axis machining, and experience with CAM tools such as Mastercam, NX, CATIA. AS9100 familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

7+ years of CNC programming and machining experience in aerospace/defense/high-precision industries.
Experience in plastics machining and 3-,4-,5-axis milling.
Proficient with CAD/CAM (Siemens NX, CATIA, Mastercam) and G/M-code.

Responsibilities

Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for 3–5 axis milling of plastics, composites, and aerospace tooling.
Use CAM software such as Mastercam, NX, CATIA to create toolpaths.
Design tooling, fixturing, and workholding for aerospace and plastics applications.
Set machining parameters, coolant delivery, and strategies for tool life and accuracy.
Apply VERICUT for digital twin validation and collision avoidance.
Interpret GD&T drawings and 3D CAD models to produce compliant toolpaths.
Research and benchmark new machining tech and tools.
Evaluate new CNC machinery to support investments and AS9100 compliance.
