Position Summary & Purpose

We’re looking for a dedicated, self‑motivated employee with 7+ years of CNC Programming & Machining experience. The right candidate should be well versed in cutter technologies used in machining and turning and have a strong understanding of Fanuc M & G codes. You should be knowledgeable in a broad range of manufacturing processes from raw materials to finished parts. You will work closely with Machine Operators, Quality Control personnel, and Engineers to solve any issues from work holding, cutter application, surface finish to dimensional tolerances.

We need you to review the part, figure out what alternative machine is best suited for a quick turnaround, and completely reprocess and program the part to run at that alternative machine so we have a finished part tomorrow.
  • Understand, interpret, and edit Fanuc M & G codes.
  • To reduce setup time and machining through process improvements.
  • Use existing process routers utilizing new machining practices and methods.
  • Work with Engineering departments to resolve any limitations on machining of parts and offer design suggestions to reduce costs and cycle time. Apply DFM (Design For Manufacturing) logic.
  • Work with machine operators on first run programs to ensure quality of program and optimal cycle times.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to peers.
  • Willing and able to see an assignment through in a timely manner, recognizing the needs of others, production, and CINCINNATI’s customers.
Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical Engineering Drawings, including GD&T Tolerancing. Develops, edits, or modifies operation sequences based on manufacturing sketches, blueprints, or schematics. Both digital and board drawing formats.
  • Use Solid Edge and Mastercam 2022 (or near version) software to program two axis lathes with live tooling, vertical and horizontal machining centers up to 3+2-axis.
  • Thoroughly understands tool wear, cutter compensation, and under industry leading tooling technology.
Helpful Experience
  • University Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or equivalent.
  • Mazatrol & MazaCAM programming and operation.
