Job summary

CPI Electron Device Business (CPI EDB) is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer with Mastercam to support programming and optimization of complex parts on vertical and horizontal milling machines. This role requires close collaboration with machinists, engineers, and production teams to ensure precise, high-quality output.

You will interpret drawings and CAD models, select tooling and cutting strategies, set up and prove out programs on the shop floor, and contribute to continuous improvement while

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Mastercam (multi-axis experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of machining processes for both vertical and horizontal milling.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and CAD models.
  • Experience selecting tooling and developing efficient machining strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for vertical and horizontal milling machines.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications to create accurate toolpaths.
  • Select appropriate tooling, cutting strategies, and machining parameters to maximize efficiency and quality.
  • Set up and prove out new programs on the shop floor, troubleshooting and refining as needed.
  • Collaborate with machinists and engineers to improve processes, reduce cycle times, and maintain tight tolerances.
  • Maintain organized documentation for programs, setups, and revisions.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the machining department.
  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer with strong experience in Mastercam to support programming and optimization of complex parts on both vertical and horizontal milling machines. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a precision manufacturing environment and is comfortable working closely with machinists, engineers, and production teams to ensure efficient, high-quality output.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
  • Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for vertical and horizontal milling machines

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced proficiency with Mastercam (multi-axis experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of machining processes for both vertical and horizontal milling
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and CAD models
  • Experience selecting tooling and developing efficient machining strategies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Mazak Smooth Control
  • Familiarity with Mazak Palletech systems
  • Working knowledge of Fanuc controls
  • Experience with high-mix, low-volume or production environments
  • Exposure to automation and palletized machining systems
  • This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a “U.S. Person” as defined under ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii)a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Salary Range: $35.00 - $55.00 / hour
