Job summary

FN America, LLC in Columbia, South Carolina, is seeking a Machine Operator III to operate CNC and conventional machines, perform changeovers, and ensure parts meet print specifications.

You will inspect parts with gauges, micrometers, and CMMs, set tool offsets, and support lean initiatives while maintaining a safe, clean work area. Requires 2 years machining experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in a machining environment with vertical, horizontal, lathe CNC and/or conventional machines.
• Experience performing changeovers, tool offsets, and tooling offsets.
• Familiarity with print reading and dimensional tolerancing.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and/or conventional machines to meet print specifications.
• Perform inspections using gages, micrometers, calipers, and CMMs to ensure quality.
• Set tool offsets and changes on CNC and manual machines.
• Manage machine changeovers, fixtures, programs, and first-piece qualification.
• Monitor tool life and maintain a safe, clean work area.
• Record production data per process requirements.
