Job summary

PPS is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Setup / Operator for a full-time role in Solon, Ohio. The ideal candidate will set up and operate CNC mills to manufacture precision components according to blueprints and job travelers, perform tool changes, workholding, and fixturing, and read complex blueprints and setup sheets.

You will troubleshoot G and M code, inspect parts in-process, and identify issues such as deflection or warping.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience.
Strong CNC milling setup and operation skills.
Experience with Fanuc-based controls and G/M code editing.
Extensive knowledge of tooling, workholding, and fixturing.
Ability to interpret complex blueprints and perform in-process inspections.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills to manufacture precision components according to blueprint specifications.
Perform machine setups, tooling changes, workholding, and fixturing.
Read and interpret complex blueprints, job travelers, and setup sheets.
Inspect parts throughout production to ensure quality and accuracy.
Read, edit, and troubleshoot G and M code.
Identify and resolve machining issues, including tool deflection, bowing, and warping.
Maintain equipment, tooling, and a clean work environment.
