  • Lead the setup and operation of CNC machine tools including multi-axis mills, lathes, and Swiss-style machines.
  • Ability to edit CNC programs using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, PartMaker) for complex geometries and tight tolerances.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to review and interpret technical drawings, models, and specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior machinists, including training on machining techniques and best practices.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and quality checks using precision measuring instruments (e.g., CMM, micrometers, bore gauges, vision systems).
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to ensure efficient production.
  • Implement and maintain process improvements, tooling strategies, and machining parameters to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols applicable to medical device manufacturing.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing projects, and cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.

  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials (e.g., stainless steel, titanium), and tooling selection.
  • Proficiency in CAM software, CAD/CAM integration, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
