MDS Staffing is seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Mechanic II for a client serving the aerospace and defense industries in Portland, Connecticut. The role focuses on maintaining CNC machinery, troubleshooting complex systems, and ensuring uptime through preventive maintenance and vendor coordination.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of hands-on CNC troubleshooting experience, strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge, and the ability to read diagrams

Qualificações

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on CNC troubleshooting experience.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, diagrams, manuals, and specifications.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments.
• Experience coordinating with vendors and service providers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safe work practices and reliable equipment operation.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot and repair CNC machinery, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery, motors, conveyors, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret diagrams, manuals, and specs to diagnose malfunctions.
• Identify problems through observation and precision measuring tools.
• Dismantle equipment and replace defective parts with hand/power tools, cranes, and hoists.
• Adjust, align, and calibrate components to ensure proper operation.
• Assist with installation and relocation of shop machinery.
• Fabricate repair parts as needed using shop tools.
