Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist II in Michigan to operate and set up CNC machines, producing precision parts while maintaining strict quality standards. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and continuous improvement on a production line.

You will work with various metals, ensure tool condition and process accuracy, and support ongoing efficiency goals within a GMP/GDP framework.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years CNC machining experience.
• Experience with producing parts in a production environment is preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC machines within tolerances according to work instructions and drawings.
• Perform difficult CNC machining including progressive work on diverse parts and metals with tight tolerances.
• Change dull tooling and make minor offsets and adjustments as needed.
• Ensure product quality by following OOQ standards and using measuring equipment.
• Perform routine PM checks and basic hand finishing tasks.
• Follow GMP/GDP practices and complete job routers/cards.
• Maintain safe working practices and report safety issues.
• Aim to meet productivity targets and seek improvements.
• Record activities in the job tracking system and support continuous improvement.
