Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience.
• Ability to independently perform machine setups and operate CNC equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• Trade school certification or technical education in machining is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.
• Build and perform machine setups, including fixture installation and tooling setup.
• Verify programs and perform prove-outs for new processes and first-run parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Inspect first-article and production parts with precision measuring tools.
• Monitor and adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets for quality.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, material, and process issues.
• Load and secure tooling and fixtures with appropriate lifting equipment.
• Maintain production records and communicate issues to supervision.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and mentor less-experienced machinists.
