Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED with associate degree/trade certificate preferred
• 6–10 years of hands-on machining experience in a precision environment
• Expert-level blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
• Tight tolerances ±0.0005" or tighter on various materials
• Proficient in CNC programming (G-code) and CAM software such as Mastercam or Fusion 360
• Hands-on with metrology equipment including CMMs, micrometers, optical comparators
• Ability to plan work sequences, select tooling, and solve complex machining challenges
• Strong communication to collaborate with engineering and mentor machinists

Aufgaben

• Plan, set up, and execute complex multi-operation jobs from prints or 3D models with minimal supervision
• Set up and operate manual and CNC tools including mills, lathes, and multi-axis equipment
• Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software or G-code
• Interpret complex drawings, assembly prints, and GD&T callouts
• Develop custom fixturing, tooling strategies, and work-holding for challenging geometries
• Perform in-process and final inspections using CMMs, micrometers, optical comparators
• Lead first article inspections (FAI) and maintain documentation
• Mentor Machinists and Operators to elevate shop floor capabilities
