Job summary

6AM City, LLC seeks a highly skilled CNC Machinist III to lead complex setups, diagnose issues, and ensure first-article quality. You will work from prints and models, author and adjust programs at the CNC control, and mentor junior machinists in GD&T and precision measurement.

Primary duties include selecting tooling, optimizing setups, and driving cycle-time improvements while maintaining safety and quality standards on a range of CNC lathes and mills.

Qualifications

• Experience performing setups from scratch on CNC workcenters with minimal supervision.
• Ability to document tooling, workholding, and operation sequences for new or problem parts.
• Proficient in testing and proving new/revised programs at the CNC control and optimizing toolpaths, speeds, and offsets.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete setups from scratch on all assigned workcenters — workholding, tooling, offsets, program load, and first-piece qualification — without supervision.
• Select and document tooling, insert grade, workholding, and operation sequence for new or problem parts.
• Prove out new and revised programs at the control, correcting toolpaths, feeds, speeds and offsets to bring parts into tolerance.
